Our History
Teaming Up was created in the fall of 2006. Visualizing a potential link between women's collegiate athletic teams here in the USA and women abroad in order to respond to a need of greater advocacy for a largely overlooked issue the organization was founded.
The pilot program was administered at Yale University, where both Kristin Savard and Gypsy Moore were undergraduates, under the leadership of the Yale Women's Ice Hockey team of which Savard was the capitan. Teaming Up sucessfully fundraised for the Keiskamma community of South Africa.
